Mint Condition
As you know, I’m a big fan of
the vintage Minolta lenses that I sell in my store, but you can’t buck
progress! These newer Sony aps-c lenses are lightweight and offer excellent
imaging characteristics.
This is a lightly used Sony
Alpha “DT 4-5.6/55-200” zoom lens in mint
condition. (S/N 18365xx) Cosmetics on this lens are essentially unmarked.
Optics, build and cosmetics
are all as new. This zoom is a recent addition to the Sony catalogue and part
of the latest double lens kit sold with so many Sony Alpha cameras. It is
compact and lightweight, coming in at 295g and 8.4cm (less than 3”) in length.
The lens is lighter in
weight, made mostly with polycarbonate and glass materials (versus the die-cast
and metal of the Minolta vintage models), and the rear mount is polycarbonate.
I prefer the stainless mount of a Minolta lens, but this mount is durable under
normal use.
Image quality of this lens is very good and the lens receives good reviews for sharpness and AF speed.

The grading of equipment is very subjective, but I try to estimate condition conservatively. Generally, I list equipment that I would be happy to own myself, and I’m picky about my gear.

Shipping is through Canada Post’s air and ground parcel service and is very reliable.
