This will make a good project for someone that loves running Mame arcade fighting games and knows a bit about jail breaking iPads. I made some modifications to this iCade cabinet. The joystick and buttons have been replaced with I think it was a Sanwa joystick and Sanwa convex buttons from Focus Attack. Focus Attack is a company that sells arcade supplies online. I am not sure which model joystick or buttons I bought but Sanwa rings a bell. It was supposed to be good for fighting games. Because I am not sure, please see photos for condition and those details as I do not accept returns or refunds. Also to get these buttons to fit I did have to remove material with a dremel to make the holes larger so if you planned to make this cabinet back to stock you will probably need to salvage another control panel since these holes are slightly larger than how it came stock. When pairing the device, you will also have to make adjustments to the instructions as it will tell you to hold down all 4 bottom row buttons and then hold down one top row white button which is now the blue button to the right. The instructions are underneath the top panel of the iCade. The only buttons that are stock are the red buttons. I’ll explain why I did this in a bit. I am including an iPad 2 with 16GB storage. This was the iPad that I had to jailbreak in order to install Mame. If you don’t know what Mame is then I suggest you stay away from this listing as it may be too difficult for you. You will have to be a bit tech savvy to get this up and running on an iPad especially the jail breaking process. I had to reset the iPad back to factory settings so jail breaking it again will be up to you. Once you get Mame running with arcade roms the red buttons will act as the coin insert and because the stock microswitches on those buttons are VERY clicky, it was suggested by forums to leave the 2 red buttons stock as you won’t be using them for pulling off fight moves but rather just to insert more coins for credits. The Sanwa buttons I installed are low profile and easy to push down with hardly any resistance and barely any clicking if at all. The joystick is a lot smoother than the stock joystick this came with as well. I do believe it has an octagonal gate so its pretty easy to pull off circular moves in Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat or games like that. If you have any questions let me know. Again please see photos for condition. What you see in the photos is what you will get. Also will be including charging cable for the iPad 2. Thanks for reading.
