California has countless waterfalls; I love seeing them around the state. 

I am offering this charming landscape image featuring a rocky stream mountain river flowing downhill from the force of gravity, a stunning cascade waterfall, a flower valley, and a pine tree forest. This landscape Art piece was inspired by Nevada Falls in Yosemite National Park.

The “California’s Waterfalls” art is completed using the wet felting technique and enhanced with embroidery detailing. It features vivid, bright multicolor tones of the finest merino wool and Mohair Locks. This felted piece is made of the softest merino wool, viscose, and silk fibers, Mohair locks, and Wool Nepps felted together. Several loose fibers are combined to build the finished fabric colors, texture, and design elements. 

I am working with wool fibers, which can bring unpredictable texture results. Part of the fun is letting the wool fibers have control, and I am just watching what comes out of the rolling and friction process.
