Fully titled, The Black Tigers : Elite Vietnamese Rangers and Their American Advisors.  Compiled and edited by Command Sergeant Major Michael N. Martin and Lieutenant Colonel McDonald Valentine, Jr.  FIRST EDITION, published by Harmony House of Louisville.

Overall in VERY GOOD OR BETTER CONDITION.  Black leather (or faux leather) clean boards with a gold-embossed emblem on front cover, and gilt lettering front board and spine, very clean.  The only wear issue to note is that a previous owner made markings on two pages in the book, both shown in listing photos.  In one, he/she highlighted a subset of the Vietnam Campaigns - perhaps those that he/she was involved in.  In the second, he/she wrote two names on a page - perhaps this page and adjoining page while not identifying any individuals had anecdotes and/or photos of the individuals noted.  Otherwise 136 clean and solidly bound pages, PROFUSELY ILLUSTRATED with B&W photos and illustrations, and also some color illustrations.

From the Introduction:  "One of the proudest chapters in Ranger history is the saga of the U.S. Rangers who served as Advisors (Co Van My) to the Vietnamese Ranger units.  They were a special group of soldiers who were first sent to the Republic of Vietnam in the early '60s to train, live, and fight with newly formed ARVN Ranger Units."
