On offer is a charming sugar bowl from the Artisan Collection, decorated
with the later smooth Camelot pattern, made in stoneware by Denby Pottery
Derbyshire, England.
The Camelot pattern is a speckled light green and brown, with contrasting cream interior, it was discontinued in 1993. Check for lines round the bottom to date the pattern, as the later versions from 1986 onwards were plain (no lines) like this one. It is dishwasher and microwave safe.
The bowl is 6.5cm deep by 9cm in diameter at the middle 8cm across at the rim and is in good condition free from crazing, chips, or cracks. On the base is the Denby Pottery Stoneware printed mark. The unpackaged weight is 221 grams.
Thank You - For Looking
As there is widespread confusion about the difference between chips, nicks, hairlines, or cracks. Here is how we see it:
A nick is a tiny bit of damage smaller than 1mm and a chip is something you can see with the eye; a hairline runs over the surface glazing but not the body of the item and a crack runs through the body of the item, usually weakening its structure.
