This is a Stunning and Desirable piece of Vintage 1970's British Gold and Gemstone Jewellery. Made in 9ct Yellow Gold it is a Ring in a Flower Design featuring a Small Illusion Set Diamond to the Centre with 8 Round Sapphires surrounding it. The Setting is very Pronounced in the form of a basket and there is a Diamond Cut Starburst Pattern against a Bark Effect Background down the Shoulders and some of the shank. It is Fully Hallmarked on the inside of the shank as photographed with MR for the Maker's Mark, the Crown Mark for Gold, 375 for the Gold Purity, the Leopard's Head Mark for London Assay Office, the Date Letter A for 1975 and it has been electronically tested at a precious metal refinery to confirm the Gold Content. It weighs 4.4g and is a UK size O or approx. a US size 7 1/4. The Diamond measures 1.5mm diameter, the Sapphires measure 3mm diameter and the band measures 4.5mm wide to the underneath of the shank. The Ring is in a used and good condition for its age with no damage but with some surface wear in particular to the underside of the shank.
