Vintage Hanes distressed / trashed men's tank top / athletic undershirt, pre-owned.  Fabric color is off-white, yellowed/grayed after decades of wear and storage. 100% combed cotton.  Ribbed knit fabric is paper thin.  Narrow shoulder straps.  Single stitching on bottom hem.  Size is 36 (approx. equivalent to a Medium).  Believed to be made in U.S.A. and date from the 1940s.  

Measurements, all flat, un-stretched, approximate:

length, top of shoulder strap to bottom hem:  26 1/2 inches;
outside edge of shoulder strap to outside edge of shoulder strap:  10 inches;
arm opening:  10 1/2 inches;
armpit-to-armpit:  16 1/2 inches;
length across bottom hem:  19 1/2 inches;
shoulder strap width at top:  3/4 of an inch;
neck opening, across:  8 1/2 inches;
neck opening, down:  7 1/2 inches. 
 
Distressed / trashed, pre-owned condition.  There are tears, rips, holes, spots, and stains from decades of wear.  Fabric is paper thin.  Yellowed/grayed fabric over time.  See pictures.  Odor-free.  

Ultra-rare, vintage athletic undershirt!  Very hard to find.  Many years of life still left in this undershirt!
