Sir Tim Rice has a long and distinguished career in music, forging a great partnership with the hugely successful Lord Anthony Lloyd Webber - for whom he wrote the music for stage-show hits such as Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Cricket, and numerous other classic hits. He has also famously collaborated with Walt Disney corporation for productions such as the 1992 Walt Disney Companyhit Aladdin (for which he won an Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Grammy Award in the category of 'Song of the Year' for 'A Whole New World') and the 1994 Walt Disney Company hit The Lion King (for which he and Sir Elton John won an Academy Award and Golden Globe in the category of 'Best Original Song' for their song 'Can you Feel the Love Tonight').
Sir Tim also collaborated with the 'King of Rock 'n' Roll', Elvis Presley, early on in his career for the song It's Easy for You (on his album 'Moody Blue'), as well as with the James Bond 007 film 'Octopussy' (for the theme song 'All Time High'). He was President of the cricket charity 'The Lord's Taverners' (1988-90), and President of the prestigious Marylebone Cricket Club (2002). He runs his own amateur cricket club, named Heartaches Cricket Club, inspired by the famous Elvis Presley song.
