Seven love letters from Eleanor Roosevelt’s nephew, Daniel S. Roosevelt, to Clarence W. Barron’s granddaughter, Martha Endicott.

I’ve had these seven letters sitting on my desk for several months wondering what I should do with them. During that time, I’ve read them at least two dozen times. Obviously these aren’t worth anything to most people, but in terms of puppy love and the adolescent struggles that accompany it, I personally think they do have some form of human value.

Daniel was an awkward 16-year-old boy when he wrote these wonderful letters to Martha. Knowing what would eventually happen to Daniel at the very young age of 21, just five short years later, makes these lighthearted, quirky love letters even that much more special to possess.
