A beautifully detailed rare and hard to find vintage solid pewter miniature figurine of Union Army General William Tecumseh Sherman. He's in full uniform as he surveys the battlefield with his binoculars, side arm pistol and Calvary sword at his side by Hudson Pewter and artist / sculptor Dennis Liberty (DL). The figurine / replacement Queen is part of Hudson's Civil War Chess set. The artist made the north / union army figures a dark color tone to resemble blue and the south / confederate pieces a lighter color tone to resemble gray. The figurine measures approx 3 1/4" tall 1 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" deep. The yellow block is 1" to give you an idea of the size of the figurine. The bottom is stamped "1992 DL Hudson Fine pewter USA" see pics. This lovely figurine would display great in your home office desk, fireplace mantel, man cave, cabin, paperweight art decor or make a nice gift.
