At the beginning of the 70s of the 20th century, a number of large-scale projects for the laying of oil and gas pipelines, railway lines, large industrial facilities, and field reclamation were actively implemented in the Soviet Union. Developed in 1972-1975, the T-330 became a worthy replacement for similar imported equipment that was previously purchased for hard currency. The T-330R1-01 bulldozer based on the T-330 tractor was equipped with a one- or three-tooth ripper. In combination with the transverse tilting of the dump, this made it possible to develop strong and frozen soils.
