This listing is for RC Loch Ness : Radio Control Swimming Plesiosaurus (2004) from the Jurassica line by Takara.

Condition Details

Has a lot of wear to the skin in various places (See 7th, 18th, and19th Photos for some examples).  Also has a fair amount of soiling, most obviously some black residue to rear fin (See 20th Photo).  Tip of tail bent to one side (See 21st Photo).

Definitely still swims (Watch video).  You do need to point the remote directly at it for it to respond properly.  May not swim exactly straight anymore, but single-fin turning does work so course can be corrected.  All batteries (in remote and dinosaur) recently replaced and have only a little over an hour of use.

Battery compartment has one little section that looks like it may have rust, although it may also be some kind of glue (See 22nd Photo)--the white textured area on the plastic in that photo is scratched plastic, not corrosion.  Battery compartment seems fairly water-tight from what I can tell.  However, water does get into the gap around the compartment door, so it might be good to check it from time to time to make sure it has not worked its way in to the compartment itself.

Remote's buttons are pretty stiff (especially the turn buttons) but work.  Remote has some overall general wear, and a more obvious scuff to the orange bar (See 23rd Photo).  FCC ID sticker is starting to peel off.

Still has instructions.  Instructions have a lot of creasing, some soiling, and a tiny tear--but nothing that affects readability.

Box is VERY beat-up and is also pretty dirty on the inside (See Last Photo).  Box is missing any molds or restraints intended to hold the plesiosaurus in place.  I will be using packing material and at least some cardboard bracing both inside the display box and outside it during shipping to try to keep the plesiosaurus as safe as possible during transit.

In short, in very worn condition, but still functional and still with its (rather over-dramatic) box.  Please see included photos.  If you have specific condition-related concerns, I can also take and send additional photos on request.

Shipping

Shipping to the 48 contiguous United States is FREE, and I will ship within 4 business days of receiving payment.  The remote-controlled dinosaur will be sent by FedEx, in a secure box.  Any international shipping will be handled by eBay using eBay International Shipping, and will cost extra.  My portion will remain free.

Please note that I am not offering shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or any non-continental US territory for this listing.  The FedEx rates to those places go astronomically high.  If you are in one of those areas and are interested in purchasing this, please let me know and I can see about giving you an estimate for the additional shipping charges.  I am also not offering delivery to USPS PO boxes for this listing.

If you have any questions about the plesiosaurus, please feel free to contact me.  I will try to reply as quickly as possible.  Thank you for considering my listing!
