We are delighted to offering for your private collection this Fabulous and extremely rare!-Set of 8 (16 pieces total) early *Carl Knoll-Carlsbad* -"Yellow Rose" Cups and Saucers Circa 1850.
Very few of this sets were ever made,indeed it's a Rarity that this set survived.
The set of exceptional! quality in every respect, the cups are made in the form of an open lemon-colored rose flower with a stem as a handle and a rose sepal as a stand for the cup; original saucers with embossed leaves complements the overall image. The inside of the cup is completely covered with gold.
The Carl Knoll manufactory was founded in 1848 by kaolin trader Carl Knoll.
A very unique Set that will make a collector very very happy!.
Provenance
Found at a Palm Beach, Florida Antique Collection, thence by descent.
Measurements:
Each Cup measures approx. 1-3/4" (4.5cm) Tall x approx. 3" (7.6cm) Wide (including the handle).
Each Saucer measures approx. 4-1/2" (11.4cm) in Diameter x approx. 3/4" (1.90cm) Tall.
