Passion Yellow Fruit 200+ Seeds PASSIFLORA EDULIS Edible Fruit high quality Seeds

Passiflora edulis, commonly known as passion fruit, is a vine species of passion flower native to southern Brazil through Paraguay and northern Argentina. It is cultivated commercially in tropical and subtropical areas for its sweet, seedy fruit. The fruit is a pepo, a type of berry, round to oval, either yellow or dark purple at maturity, with a soft to firm, juicy interior filled with numerous seeds. The fruit is both eaten and juiced, with the juice often added to other fruit juices to enhance aroma.

Planting

Soaking of seeds in water for 24 hours for increase germination

Prepare a germinating medium consisting equal parts sand and topsoil and place in pots or directly in a soil bed. Plant seeds 2 to 3 inches apart and 1/4-inch deep. Provide plenty of water to keep soil moist.

Transplant seedlings into pots or outdoor pits when they are about 2 to 3 inches high. Carefully remove them, along with their root system, and place in individual pots or outdoor pits containing clay loam soil and compost

Soil- The passion fruit vine does best in loamy soil with good drainage. If creating your soil mix, using topsoil, compost, and a bit of sand (10%) should yield a good result.

Sun- This vine needs plenty of bright sunlight to flourish—at least 7 hours of direct sun per day. If growing in a container and overwintering indoors,

Water preferences- Water your starfruit tree regularly. Passion fruit vines are not tolerant of drought. However, heavy consistent rain or overwatering may inhibit fruit production.

Support for Vine- Prepare strong and durable support for vine to easily climb. Arches, Arbours or Pergolas are very beautiful for a garden.

5.Prepare the soil for transplanting: You can plant peppers in containers or a garden bed. We like to mix some homemade compost into the soil first to help feed the pepper plants. Make sure your soil is well draining as peppers don't like soggy feet! This is especially important with containers, use a fast-draining potting soil mix (don't use garden soil or topsoil in containers).

6.Dig a hole larger than the root ball of your pepper, then gently remove the pepper from its container, loosen the soil and roots, then place it into the hole and fill the soil around the plant. You can bury it so that the soil is level with the pepper transplants' cotyledon leaves – their first two leaves – you can pinch these off as well when transplanting. Gently pack down the soil and add more if needed. Make sure to pick a spot that is full sun (at least 6 hours of sun a day). We also recommend pinching off any blossoms or pods on your transplants so that the plant will put more energy into growing roots and leaves instead of fruit.

7.Water-in Pepper Transplants: Use a rain nozzle or watering can to gently water your transplanted peppers. This will help settle in the soil around the roots.
