Product introduction
FFM-1 ``Mogami'' and FFM-2 ``Kumano'' were approved for construction in the fiscal year 2018 budget, and are equipped with anti-mine warfare sonar and autonomous underwater mine detectors. Equipped with UUVs and mine-clearing surface unmanned vehicles (USVs), this is a state-of-the-art destroyer specializing in advanced mine-sweeping missions.
In order to improve stealth, most of the rigging was installed inside the sloping side, and a characteristic unicorn-shaped composite antenna and multi-functional radar arranged on four sides were installed. Its pyramid-shaped mast and other features set it apart from previous destroyers.
