Digitally remastered live archive release from the British Prog Rockers, recorded November 12th, 1975 at Stockholm University by Swedish Radio3..In 1975, Gentle Giant had completed a long winter U.S. tour, followed by European Festival dates and more U.S. dates throughout the summer, wrote and recorded their seventh album, Free Hand, and were now about to tour the album with another autumn European tour. Their gig at the Students Union's own venue Club Karen was a total sell-out and this CD release brings back all that excitement of the band at their prime, when they were headlining major cities all around the world. Mastered direct from the original radio station tapes, the sound is superb as the band play a selection of new tracks and stage favorites from earlier albums. MLP 2009.

BIOGRAPHIE DER MITWIRKENDEN
Formed in 1966 as Simon Dupree & The Big Sound, they had a UK Top 50 hit with the single 'I See The Light' and a Top10 hit with 'Kites', both in 1967. Their only album 'Without Reservations' in 1967, reached #39 in the UK album charts. In late 1969, the three Shulman Brothers (Derek, Phil & Ray) decided to join forces with Kerry Minear, Gary Green & Martin Smith to re-launch as a more experimental group called: GENTLE GIANT. John Weathers replaced Martin Smith on drums in 1972 before their fourth album 'Octopus' made the USA Top 200 album charts. Later that year Phil Shulman left the band as Gentle Giant became a quintet of Derek, Ray, Kerry, Gary & John. Their 6th album 'In A Glass House' was never released in the USA - a decision made by their US label-Columbia. However in 1975, their 7th album 'Free Hand' reached No 79 in the USA. At the height of their commercial popularity, Gentle Giant toured extensively that year in the USA, UK and Europe, including this concert recording from Swedish Radio in Stockholm, Sweden on November 12th 1975.
