I am not a jeweler.  This was left to me by my father who was in the gambling industry.  It is completely & totally authentic.  The center diamond has a small chip, but it is not visible to the naked eye. Here is the GIA description (also in photos): I have seen examined and appraise one Gents' stamped 14K yellow gold ring containing one Round Brilliant natural center Diamond weighing approximately 1.30 carat, and 16 ful cut side Diamonds surrounding the center totaling approximately 56 carat.

The center Diamond measures 7.10-7.16mm.  Four of the side Diamonds havean average diameterof 4.50mm. Twelve of the full cut side Diamonds have an average diameter of 2.0mm. The center Diamondhas a clarity and color of (12) and (H). The Diamond has a chip on the girdle extending to the upper girdle facet. The full cut side Diamonds have a clarity and color of (SI1-11) and (I-J). Thecenter Diamond is set with four yellow gold prongs. The side Diamonds are channel setsurrounding the center. The ring has a light bark textured finish. The ring weighs 17.40 grams and is a size 6 1⁄2.
