This is a coloured map mounted on linen. The map is undated, but dated by reference to the advertisement on the back for the 1942 "completely new" edition of the Citizen's Atlas. On the cover is the original label from Rand McNally Company, the distributors in the US. Folded, the map measures approx. 12 x 21.5 cm (5 x 8.5 in). Unfolded approx. 73 x 94 cm (24 x 37 in).
The map is in very good condition with no tears. There is a very small amount of paper missing at the bottom right corner (see photo) not affecting the printed portion of the map. The tape mark at the top (see photo) must be from someone's attempt to hang the map because there is no tear there.
