ABOUT THE STAMP:
In this stamp, some elements of Juliano’s achievements were gathered, which as a whole, are about a great human being in the history of Brazilian and world psychiatry. The figure of him as the central element houses the Colony, which took its name in honor of his achievements, and later was a place of advancement in the anti-psychiatric fight and humanization with regard to the treatment of patients with mental disorders. In the image, the artist brings an aura of humanization around the figure that illuminates the prison as a representation of the light to society that the doctor brought about issues that today seem obvious to us, such as the release of handcuff ed patients, end of the use of the straitjacket, scientific racism, among others. The flower represents mental health and the seed it left as a legacy for psychiatry. Chinese ink techniques on paper were used, and final art with engraving technique on plastered paper.
