This is a Ming period (1368-1644) cizhou turquoise glaze tripod censer. Bearing an old catalogue label reading 'Incense burner of bronze form on tripod support, decor- on a turquoise glaze, 5in. Ming Dynasty (first cf. Eumo. cat.) The last part referring to George Eumofopoulos (1863-1939) known as Eumo, founder of the Oriental Ceramic Society & its first president from 1921 until his death (image 7.)
