This is the guitar neck that shouldn't be. This is a Bardsong special Gibson Les Paul Custom neck. Bardsong was a savior of unwanted necks at the Gibson factory. He would dumpster dive and save necks that he would then resell during the very early days of eBay. This is one of those necks. The neck was at one time discarded by Gibson (with a date neck stamp of May 27th, 1981 and a imprinted serial number from April 28th, 1982). A bandsaw was then used to cut above the truss rod area in an attempt to destroy the neck (but luckily it was saved from forever being destroyed and was glued back together by Bardsong). The truss rod works turns and works in both directions and the neck is straight. How many original 1981/82 Gibson Les Paul Custom unused necks are still around today? My guess is very few.

The binding is rough (still needs more sanding) the nut needs to be replaced.

This is definitely a unique fine that you won't come across often. Want so start an 80s Gibson guitar build with an authentic serial number? This is the one!
