Suzuki Shōnen 鈴木松年 (1849–1918) was the son of Suzuki Hyakunen, who was a master of the Maruyama-Shijo school. Both father and son had a large number of disciples that became painters who were collected by the Imperial Household. He is held in The MET and many other museums internationally, -and a good handful of his pieces having been deemed National Treasures of Kyoto. Expertly remounted and restored in the Showa period due to damage to the original mounting and painting. Mounting in very good condition. Honshi (painted area) shows normal damages and restoration to the washi paper (see photos).
