THE BODICE CLOSES UP THE FRONT WITH ALL 24 OF ITS ETCHED SMOKEY GREY SHELL BUTTONS THAT ARE TRIMMED IN CUT STEEL BEADS.
POLONAISE SIDE PUFF DETAILING WITH LARGE FLARING REAR TAIL.
INTERIOR LINED IN A POLISHED COTTON WITH A HOOKING STOMACH PANEL CLOSING.
THE SKIRT IS WIDELY BOX PLEATED WITH RUCHED GATHERING AND PLEAT RUFFLES ACROSS THE FRONT WITH BILLOWING REAR.
FULLY LINED IN THE POLISHED COTTON AND THERE IS A DRAWSTRING GATHERING, MAY HAVE HAD A BUILT IN BONED BUSTLE.
THE OVER SKIRT IS ROUNDED, TRIMMED IN PLEATING, WITH THE UNDER SIDE IN BLACK BUCKRAM AND A WHITE LACE PEEKING OUT.
CONDITION: HOOK AND EYES I BELIEVE ARE A REPLACEMENT. THE INNER BUCKRAM LINING IS COMING FREE ON THE INNER BOTTOM EDGE AND I PERSONALLY WOULD STITCH BACK. THE OVER SKIRT IS MISSING THE HOOK ATTACHMENTS.
CONDITION IS EXCEPTIONAL AND LOOKS NEW DESPITE BEING FROM THE 1880’S
