■Sound marker function
It has a built-in sound marker function that outputs a tone signal when starting/stopping REC, which is useful for aligning video and audio, and a test tone function that allows smooth adjustment of the audio input level on the camera side.
■Limiter, low cut filter
Equipped with a limiter function that prevents sound cracking due to sudden loud sounds, and a low-cut filter that reduces low-frequency noise such as air conditioning and wind noise.
■Three power options
Continuous recording is possible for approximately 6.5 hours with two AAA alkaline batteries, and approximately 11 hours with a lithium battery (when using a shotgun microphone). It can also be powered by the AC adapter AD-17 (sold separately) or by USB bus power.
■USB connection
Equipped with a USB port, it can transfer recorded files on a microSD card to a computer, and also functions as a USB audio interface for computers and iOS devices that uses a high-quality asynchronous transfer system.
