Vintage Japanese Iron Samurai Armor Wearable 八幡大菩薩 Yoroi Kabuto With Katana Obi BE435

Description

This is a samurai armor that is estimated to have been made during the late Meiji period (1890-1912). The samurai crest is Tsuda Kamon, belonging to the Matsudaira clan, a famous samurai family in Japan. The Kabuto (helmet) part of the armor features an ornament engraved with the name "Great Bodhisattva Hachiman," which is an ancient deity in Japan. The engraving serves as a prayer for victory in war by invoking the name of the deity on the armor. It also includes a katana. It is not only great for decorative purposes but can also be worn in actuality. During shipping, it will be delivered in a dedicated wooden box for the armor.
