MD-2 Motor Drive for the Nikon F2

Up for bids is this Nikon MD-2 Motor Drive originally designed for and released with the classic F2 bodies.

This ground-breaking drive changed the face of photography when it was released in 1973, in that it can fire up to a staggering 5 frames per second and can rewind a 36 exposure film in about 7 seconds.

CONDITION
As you can see from the photos, this specimen is used with less than normal wear. As grading cosmetics is subjective, I photographed all sides for you to make your own cosmetic assessment. The dials rotate smoothly. Parts missing as shown

The drive is currently inoperable and is being sold for parts/repair. It spins noisily as soon as power is applied, until the counter reaches zero
