This is a great camera for students and beginners who want to up the ante from phone pictures. Even though this is an older camera, the image quality and real bokeh you can get from a full-frame sensor leave phones in the dust. The Canon lenses you obtain will carry forward to newer bodies as you grow your skills and/or budget.

The Canon 5d is pro level, full-frame DSLR with a lot of great features. It has a magnesium alloy weather sealed body that houses a 12.8 MP Full-Frame CMOS Sensor. The viewfinder is large and shows the camera's 9 AF points. It also features a burst rate of 3fps for catching a little bit of action as well.
