I'm not sure where this interesting object was made but suspect it is from Mexico.

The facial features are contrasted with the snake-like shape on the back. It

might have had a ceremonial use. It is approximately 4" x 4" x 4" and weighs

one pound. It's in excellent condition for its age : it has a firing crack on the

bottom which doesn't show on the inside.
