Satin glass was first produced in the 1880s, with two of the most notable manufactures being Thomas Webb in England and Mount Washington in the United States, both of whom produced art glass vases and other decorative items in a range of colors.

This lovely hand blown cased pink satin glass vase is probably a product of the Thomas Webb Company of England. Gracefully formed with a bulbous bottom, raised stepped foot, elongated neck with tightly crimped top and applied arched camphor glass thorn handles. Ca 1880s.

The shading from the top down is a clear to pink.

The Vase measures 8-5/8 in height and 6 in. across the widest part.

Weight, unpacked: 1 lb., 8 oz.

Excellent Used Condition!….There are no cracks or repairs, or loss to “thorns”…presents with one manufacturing anomaly; a small glass “pop” on foot (please see last photo).
