Turnbuckle broke a few years later.

I put wood slats on both sides of the gate to make it look nicer. The turnbuckle snapped inside and it took a couple hours to take it apart, replace it and put it back together. It would not have broken if the had used the correctly rated turnbuckle for the weight of the gate.

Don?t like the gaps on the hinge side when using the steel posts. Also the out swing option is not easy and the instructions when using the steel posts are poor plus I the option kit took forever to get

So far, this gate frame has been superb. Easy to work with, easy to install. We swapped the original hinges for some self-closing ones, as this gate is to keep the dog in the front yard. Time will tell if it actually holds up to its anti-sag promises.

It was easy to assemble, and easy to true-up to the correct fit. It was difficult to attach the tongue-in-groove boards onto the face of the gate because of so many protruding bolt heads and hardware plates. They make the nailing surface very uneven and as a result I had to chisel a lot to make cutouts so the boards could be assembled flat and evenly. It ended up being the wrong product for me because the hinge didn't allow the correct swing I needed.

The gate frame was very good. However the latch provided is so cheap and underrated. I bought 2 gate one latch was defective, waiting to be replaced. Eventually will replace the latches with heavy duty ones. I recommend that the latch should be upgraded to heavy duty .
