Yuna Knives are 100% made by hand, using only metal files and other hand tools in Thailand. Each custom from his one-man shop is slightly different from the next and he makes very few knives a year compared to most makers. The Hard line is the one he's most well-known for. They handle like the hand carved Striders. The standard Hard is SMF sized and the Mini is slightly shorter than the SnG. This No Choil Mini has almost exactly the same amount of cutting edge as a full sized Hard 2 (size comparison in the last photo). It has that edge he's famous for. Yun heat treats his steels towards the upper end of their range for maximum edge retention and then uses difficult geometry and finish work to retain toughness. It's the same philosophy Rockstead uses on their knives and Yun even uses the same ZDP san mai as his perferred steel. Yun's knives cut like thinner-behind-the-edge Rocksteads and I consider his edges to be the best in the industry. Each grind on the blade is finished to a different degree of satin. Flats are hand satin, swedge is a brushed satin, and the main grind is a high polished hand satin. Seamless transition between the gray G-10 bolster and the layered blue micarta on the front. The Micarta has been textured in a Jens Anso pattern. Blasted and flame striped lockside. Filework jimping on the frame and backspacer.

3" blade, 7.5" overall
