Visually, including the margin it's 12-1/4 x 6-7/16". With double mat and frame it's 18-3/4 x 13". In pencil lower left margin is an abbreviation for French "Artist's Proof" and lower right is an illegible signature. Anybody know the artist?                    UPDATE: Just received an email telling me this is by August Brouet a noted French artist.             NOTE: This could be an etching. The soldiers have built up a community area outside what looks like a fortified entrance. Most are around a barrel fire to keep warm. The soldiers are French because I can see on the helmet, on top, the raised metal strip. There are just a few issues. A light spot lower center margin, and a few abrasions to the frame. Also, at the top, the print has a wave to it as if it wasn't glued down. The newly framed piece has the original framers label from Vickery, Atkins, & Torrey in San Francisco. So high end they have their own Wikipedia page. They went out of business in 1933. Please scroll down to see all the photos.
