This art has a history and I will tell you now.

I am an artist and art therapist from Ukraine.

Last spring, my family and I had to flee the war. We took only the bare necessities and settled in a small town near the western border of Ukraine.

Then we did not know what awaits us and how we will live on. I didn't have conditions for painting but there was a beautiful garden. In order to somehow distract myself, I began to collect flowers and plants and dry them. It was like meditation. So I have a whole collection of different plants and flowers.

When we returned to Kyiv almost a year later, I laid out these pressed flowers and plants and began to compose the compositions. I filled them with clear epoxy that you can see through.

There is no perfection and correct forms. Some petals and leaves are a little not ideal, but they forever absorbed the sun that saved us from trouble, my love and the warmth of my hands.

There is only positive energy here. This panel will always remind you that even in the most difficult times there is always a reason for joy, and even after the darkest night, dawn always comes!
