18ct 750 Yellow Gold Solitaire Ring W/ Natural 0.30ct Diamond - 1890s - Size M

Solid 18ct yellow gold.

Hallmarked “18ct”

The ring is in excellent condition for its age. It has minimal wear and a few finer scratches.

This ring style is called a solitaire ring.

The ring is handmade and dated to the 1890s which puts it in the Victorian period.

The diamond is a natural old European cut diamond.

The diamond has been tested and it was confirmed to be natural and it is free from colour enhancements.

The diamond is original to this ring.

This diamond has an estimated carat weight of 0.30cts.

The diamond has an old European cut, the facets are evenly cut which shows it was made by a professional jeweller as this type of cut was all done by hand.

There are no chips or scratches on the diamond.

It is not loose in its setting and there are no stones missing on this ring.

The gold purity of this ring has been tested and it was confirmed to be solid 18ct yellow gold (75.0% purity)

I have not tested the white metal as doing so will visibly damage the fine details on the setting. It is likely platinum judging by the colour and based on level of detail put into the ring.

The ring has been resized. The resizing was done perfectly and it is almost impossible spot.

There is no damage to the setting or the setting prongs.

No damage anywhere on the ring band either.

This ring is comfortable to wear.

Can be worn as a stackable ring or it can be worn on its own.

Quite rare to get a ring in this condition given its age.

Stunning craftsmanship shown all around the ring. Would have been top quality back in its day.

The ring has an inside diameter of 16.7mm.

An Australian size M.

Ring band width is 1.4mm.

Ring band thickness is 1.0mm.

The face of this ring is 4.5mm in width and the setting sits at a maximum height of 6.2mm.

In perfectly wearable condition.
