The "Iceman" was introduced in the 1970s as an original shape from Japan, and is still recognized as an icon of the classic shape of Ibanez guitars, and continues to be loved by not only famous artists but also many players.
- Flame maple wood body top
- Okoume wood neck/body
It features a rich, warm low-mid sound similar to mahogany wood. By wrapping thick ivory color binding around the body, it creates a classic atmosphere.
- Jatoba wood/fingerboard
It is a hard wood with reddish-brown skin and grain, and is characterized by a plump midrange.
Ivory colored binding is wrapped around the fingerboard to create a sense of unity throughout.
- Super 80 metal covered humbucking pickup
This pickup was adopted as an Ibanez original pickup in the artist models of the time in the 1970s, and has received a good reputation from many professional artists. This ceramic magnetic pickup features a bright and clear tone with the "Flying Finger" design engraved on the metal cover.
- Gibraltar Performer Bridge
This is a Zinc bridge with a structure in which the saddle longitudinal adjustment screw is placed on the tailpiece side. By adopting a structure in which the driver is inserted from the tailpiece side, it is easier to adjust the saddle fore and aft.
- Quik Change III Tailpiece
A slit in the top allows for quick and easy string changes.

A rubber grip is attached to the top of the numbered knob to prevent slipping.
