First Edition of the complete Bible in Spanish. Commonly called the "Bear Bible" because of the woodcut of a bear cub raiding a beehive on the title-page. Two woodcut illustrations in the text. Woodcut initials throughout. The Lower margin of the title has been re-margined, and some pages have top marginal repairs and reinforcements and mild damp-staining in places, otherwise a good copy. With the bookplates of Don A Canovas del Castillo and Oscar Benjamin Cintas, Cuban ambassador to the United States. Darlow & Moule 8472.
