Dry Laws and Wet
Politicians by Harold D Wilson. Pequa Press. 1922. Softcover. Second edition.
The federal Prohibition Bureau appointed Harold D. Wilson Director of its
Massachusetts office in June of 1921. But the office was reorganized six weeks
later. He became Deputy Director. Yet he remained a highly motivated
Prohibition agent. As an extreme dry, Wilson was determined to stamp out all
drinking. No matter who was the guilty party. To do so he would use whatever
means necessary. This book details his exploits in keeping everything “dry” and
going after politicians that bent the rules and tipped the drink. 4 ¾” x 7 ¼”
and 166 pages. Includes a few cartoons. Numerous pages at the back have bent
corners and even soiling. All is still readable.
