Descriptive, of course, but also with the discipline of rhythm and rhyme, which demands the elimination of the superfluous and the repetitive. This is not to disparage prose. On the contrary, prose can indeed be beautiful: but it is not poetry. There are poets whose works are of course brilliant but lacking in humour.
