• Third studio album by the English progressive rock band Renaissance, released in gatefold format in October 1972 on Sovereign label from Capitol Records.

• Prologue was a new start for the band, with a line-up that included Annie Haslam but none of the original members, and frequently has been referred to as their "first" album.

• Grading based on visual inspection and close listening, not by pro rating company. Very good clear, powerful sound and overall fair to good physical condition with some fading, smudges and shelf edge wear/separation typical of an album of this vintage. Dust cover fraying. Has hole punch in upper right corner which could mean it was a promo copy for early 1970’s record review purposes although there’s no sticker or white label. See photos. Album sounds great if packaging may not be in pristine condition. Kept in storage for over 50 years.
