We have 2 Korean celadon jars / pots celadon both painted with cobalt blue floral motif.  1 is slightly larger than the other, the larger jar is 4.25” tall x 5” across the widest point and the other is 4” tall x 4.25” across at the widest part.

Sadly, with the leading official kiln system no longer in operation, the unique charm of Korean blue and white Korean Yi Dynasty has slowly disappeared as mass production increased toward the late 19th century.

Traditional celadon colors can vary from light jade green to a light green-blue and can sometimes appear as such a pale green it reads as almost white. The white porcelain body became impure, giving it a bluish tint. Draftsmanship deteriorated, often completed by untrained hands. The unique simplicity and the poetic quality of the Korean blue and white gave way to the more robust and livelier styles.

Both jars have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging. Each has a hairline crack.  Please see pictures as they are part of the description.  Ask any questions you may have.
