Crushed velvet is a fairly new material that has a unique texture with a shiny and patterned appearance given by pressing down the fabric in different directions or mechanically twisting the fabric while wet.
As a delightfully shimmery and soft to the touch fabric, crushed velvet is a high-quality material that has soared in popularity in recent years.
Our crushed velvet fabric is part of our crushed velvet range and is most commonly used for upholstery, bed headboards and soft furnishings, but is also used for drapes, curtains, pillows, cushions, handbags, dressmaking, and garment making.
Apparel/Clothing/Garment made with crushed velvet have an appealing luster effect in the direction of the pile and gives a vintage appearance to the wearer.
Please note that if more than one piece of fabric is ordered it will come as one continuous piece as it is cut from the roll, however the rolls do have a maximum length therefore larger orders may be sent in multiple pieces.
