This is a Dat Optic sBox-P RAID controller.  The 5 tray setup includes a Western Digital WD3000HLFS Velociraptor hard drive; each drive has a 300GB capacity.  The back of the unit has an eSATA port; it comes with an eSATA to USB-C cable & AC adapter.

The unit turns on, and local computer repair store was able to hook the drives directly to one of their units to confirm they all work and have no data on them.

I was able to use the eSATA port to see the drives on my laptop, but I could not access them in anyway.  The repair guy thought I might need a special port or PC card to connect it to.
