Limited Edition Kershaw Knife Hunting Dog Series ~ This knife is 28/1000 and comes with a Kershaw certificate of authenticity. The blade is high carbon steel with a hand honed edge. The knife's shaped handle is built of Cocobolo wood and fitted with a polished brass pommel and bolster. The densest and darkest member of the tropical rosewood family, Cocobolo is acclaimed for its rich color, durability, and the large amount of natural oil it contains, which waterproofs the wood. The laser etching on the knife's blade is a work of art in itself. The artist has captured the moment the hunter takes his shot while his alert bird dog stands ready for the signal to retrieve the game. The etching is inlaid with gold for added dimension and beauty. The box does have some tears in the lining, and some scratches on the outside. The last two photos show the lining up close, and one area is lose, shown in the last photo.
