8" Tiffin Swedish Optic Crystal Footed Bowl Intaglio Ballerinas by G Belle-Isle
I have been unable to find much information about Glenn Belle-Isle. In a 1948 article, he was described as being the only freelance glass engraver in America at that time. He was not a glass maker, but was commissioned as an engraver to embellish fine crystal items.
This bowl is a Mid-Century Modern Tiffin creation, with a Swedish Optic effect. It is clear crystal. It is about 8" wide at the rim, about 5" tall, and stands on 4 feet.
There are 3 Intaglio ballerina figures etchings added by Glenn Belle-Isle, and he also etched his signature onto the bowl.
