Up for sale is a figure of Second Lieutenant Hans Strippel of the German Wehrmacht's 1st Panzer Division Panzer Ace, manufactured by Dragon Models and sold exclusively through Cyber Hobby mail order in 2010. He was born on December 1, 1912, and played an active role in World War II as a platoon commander of the German Wehrmacht, 1st Armored Division, 1st Armored Regiment, 2nd Platoon, and 4th Platoon. On September 24, one week after the German invasion of Poland on September 17, 1939, he was awarded the Iron Cross, Second Class; on July 5, 1941, he was awarded the Silver Tank Charge; and on July 25, 1941, he was awarded the Silver Tank Charge. He was awarded the Iron Cross 1st Class, the Black Badge of Battle Wounds in August of the same year, the Gold German Cross on December 24, 1941, and the Knight's Iron Cross on January 22, 1943 for his role in destroying 37 Russian T-34 tanks. The following year, on January 8, 1944, he was awarded the Tank Assault Badge (25 times), on the 22nd of the same month he was awarded the Silver Badge, and on June 4th, he was awarded the Knight with Oak Leaves in recognition of his military service in destroying more than 70 tanks throughout the war.
