A beautifully detailed hard to find bronze replica sculpture of "The Sower" on a wood base. The sculpture is a replica of the famously known The Sower statue at Duke Universities East Campus donated by James B. Duke in 1914. This replica statue was created & given to members of Duke Universities Founders Society members in 1980 to honor their gifts of endowment to Duke University. The statue measures 11 1/8" tall 5 5/8" diameter and weighs over 8 1/2lbs. The plaque on the front of the statue is marked "James B Holland The Founders Society of Duke University" and it has a sticker on the bottom that reads "FC Foundry Mark F. Creech / Artmaker Smithfield, NC" see all pics. This lovely collectible would display great in your home office desk, fireplace mantel, man cave, cabin, holiday decor or make a nice gift.
