SURROUND FACTS
Surrounds are a critical element of speaker performance. The surround not only affects the bass parameters of a speaker it also absorbs and reflects various cone vibrations throughout the frequency spectrum. Further, the surround often determines the response of a speaker to peak signals. Serious speaker designers put much effort and science into the specifics of each particular surround. The type of material, treatment, thickness profile, curvature, angle of attachment and the exact method of attachment all come into play. There are as many variations of surrounds as there are speaker brands and generally they are not interchangeable. That's why at Audiodogs you will only get parts that meet the specifications for your speaker and not something that merely fits.
This sale is for 2 American made foam surrounds suitable for the PSB Models 50R and 70R speakers. The original foams for these speakers are no longer in production. This surround is for JBL P208 speakers but they closely approximate the requirements of the PSB Avente, 50R & 70R speakers .
Please note that the outer edge may require trimming and the cone diameter is a bit larger than the speaker cone so you may chose to install on the top side of the cone. This is the best repair option available for these PSB speakers

GLUE: Check my store for the appropriate glue for this type of speaker. "Audiodogs Nitrile Rubber Speaker Repair Adhesive" is recommended and is available in 1/2 & 1 ounce bottles.
