A recreated type 98 Gunto sword.
This design of Japanese officer sword was issued to high ranking army officers of the Japanese Imperial army. They were constructed to a much higher degree and with premium materials compared to the mass issued WW2 Japanese NCO sword (non-commissioned officer).
Although constructed with present-day materials, this WW2 Katana is an exact reproduction. The sword looks the same in every way, detail and design, however this modern version is brand new and most notably constructed with a refined and deadly 1060 Katana blade.
The most valuable part of any sword is its blade, with this 1060 steel sword blade certainly forming a very high quality core of this true Katana.
1060 high carbon steel encapsulates both a high carbon as well as a high manganese content, which both promote a hard, reliable cutting edge, along with extremely desirable blade elasticity & resilience. This produces a hard, reliable and sharp cutting edge and importantly, you can be sure the blade and the edge will survive even the most violent combat.
The beautiful rosewood hardwood scabbard and decorative sword fittings complement the black Katana color scheme very nicely. And the hardwood, wrapped with synthetic leather form a traditional aesthetic and very effective Japanese Samurai handle grip.
This WW2 Samurai sword is a visually & historically accurate work of art. It's highly collectable, a pleasure to own and a formidable close quarters weapon of war.

Average shipping times to most countries are around 15-30 working days or 3-6 weeks. Some countries such as Brazil or South Africa can take much longer for items to arrive.
If you have not received your item after our estimated time frame, please contact us and we will look into your order to see where it is, often it is still in customs or may even be waiting for you at your local post office.
If there is a problem with your item we may opt to re-send your order again or refund you, please contact us to discuss your concern.
