You are looking at an Art Deco Modern era bakelite paper cutter or letter opener. The color is amber yellow with swirls and translucence.

The opener measures 7 1/2" long and 1 1/8" at its widest. Thickness varies, this opener has a maximum thickness of 5/16" 

Overall very condition. There are 3 tiny nicks located along its blade. Guaranteed bakelite and tested!
