Vintage 1950s Flecked Brown Tweed 3 Button Blazer Sport Coat (40 Tall / Reg) Rockabilly MCM Retro  Indie Ivy

Up for sale is this classic eye-catching brown tweed sport coat (40 Tall / Reg). It is cut in an American style, with fully padded shoulders, and a minimal rear vent.  It is made of thick durable wool tweed cloth.  It has a three button closure.

 Very well made and perfect for a 50s look.

Condition: Very Good vintage condition.  Some very small holes in the lining on the back near the collar. They are very small -see photos. One very small wear mark on the inside pocket from a pen - it is barely noticeable, but see the photos.  Otherwise, very nice condition.  No moth damage or wear on the exterior of the jacket.  Sold as -is and as-found.  From a smoke-free home.

Union made in U.S.A. (union label is 1949-1961 series)

Marked: 48 Long but measures to a 40 Tall / Reg.

All measurements taken flat:

Chest (arm pit to arm pit): 22.25"  double is 44.5, the normal deduction is 4, making it a 40.5

Waist (across middle button) 21.75"

Sleeve (from shoulder edge seam to cuff): 25.25"   with a 2" hem            

Shoulder (back seam to seam): 18" 

Length (from bottom of back collar to hem): 32"

A note on grading:

Mint: Perfect; like brand new

Excellent: Looks nearly perfect; no visible flaws; almost new condition

Very Good: Only a few minor flaws which are not visible or have no effect on the look of the garment

Good: Multiple minor flaws, but may not be very noticeable, the garment is still wearable, but may need minor repair

Poor: only good for pattern or display.

Tie and Sweater are for display only.

A few words on sizing:  Since many items aren't marked, I go by measurements to determine size.  Also be aware that sometimes an item is marked, but it doesn't match the measurements.
